Job Search Strategies Forum - Part 2

Best Practices for the Selection Interview

Selecting employees is a finely tuned process, but even with extensive training and planning, diversity is often left out of the equation by many employers. Thus, the selection process offers a much greater challenge when the candidates are different from what you consider to be the “norm”. Carol will address how to understand and accommodate differences and fairly assess candidates of diverse groups — including persons with disabilities — during the selection process, while meeting the corporate goals of the hiring company. This presentation will also provide various tips to help job candidates prepare for interviews, such as “elevator speech”.
