Please join us for a two-day conference on the University of Buffalo south campus Harriman Hall, April 29 – 30.

Join Scholars, community members, students, and activists to address the theme "Living in the Community: Changes and Continuing Challenges." In addition to focusing on issues such as the built environment, product design, transportation, education and employment, the conference will engage the ways in which people with disabilities define-and derive meaning and value from-the term "community."

Each of the panels in this unique and innovative conference will explore perspectives from academics, professionals engaged in day-to-day work in the community, and activists and advocates living in the community. The two-day conference will feature various artistic productions related to the theme. Time and space will be dedicated to people who wish to provide their own testimonials and oral histories.

In addition, conference participants will have access to the ADA Legacy Project at the Museum of disABILITY History.

The final conference program will be made available by the close of advanced registration on Friday, April 24.

Please use the following link to register for the conference. Registration for the conference is free and open to all, but necessary in order to ensure adequate seating and refreshments are available during the two-day conference.

The deadline for registration is Friday, April 24, 2015.
