Love Your Brain Week - Hosted by the University of Victoria (UVic) Mental Health Awareness Club

[Monday, March 20th] /// Come by the SUB and pick up your "prescription" of self-care, with our schedule of events, colouring sheets, stress balls, and handwritten notes!
---------------------
[Tuesday, March 21st] /// Feel like getting out some stress? Feel like just hitting something? Come by the quad and smash pinatas with us!
----------------------
[Wednesday, March 22nd] /// Bringing In The Bystander -- [4:30-7:30]
(This workshop gives students tools and skills for knowing how and when to effectively intervene in scenarios that could lead to sexualized violence. Students who attend the Bystander Intervention Training will also be entered to win a $250 UVic tuition credit, be given credit on their co-curricular record, and be provided with a certificate of completion!)
Must sign up online: http://www.uvic.ca/services/studentlife/initiatives/bystander-intervention/register/index.php
ALSO: Hump Day = Art Day; doing art is a great way to unwind and ground yourself, so that you're ready for the rest of the week! Join us in the quad, to chuck some paint at plywood and make a masterpiece. Or check out UVic Art Hive in MacLaurin building, and utilize their free studio space to tune in with yourself.
----------------------
[Thursday, March 23rd] /// Mental Health Forum -- Human Social Development (HSD) Room A267 -- [5:00pm-6:30pm]
Come discuss mental health resources on campus/in the community available to students, and give YOUR say on what needs to be done to make things more accessible! We'll have representatives from different organizations as well as UVic staff to bridge the gap between students and providers. Everyone welcome (including if just to participate quietly).
----------------------
[Friday, March 24th] /// Join us in the SUB to reflect upon what YOU do to take care of your mental health, and take tips that your peers have left about what works for them. We'll have more art, more snacks, and more conversations waiting for you!
----------------------
[Saturday, March 25th] /// Conversation Cafe -- [6:00pm-9:00pm] - Hillside Coffee and Tea -- more info on the event page:
