Towards Accessible and Inclusive Teaching: Post-secondary Pedagogy and Universal Design for Learning March 4, 2014 from 8:00 to 4:00 Dawson College 5B.16, 3040 Sherbrooke Street West, Montreal, QC Guest speaker - Brett Christie, Ph.D from California State University Panelists - Roberta Thomson (Teacher), Susie Wileman (Service provider), Catherine Fichten (Researcher) and Natalie Martiniello (Student) The Research Center for the Educational and Professional Inclusion of Students with Disabilities (CRISPESH) invites you to come learn how Universal Design for Learning (UDL) can provide a sustainable framework for faculty and staff to improve post-secondary education for all students, including those with disabilities. This year’s symposium will focus on pedagogical applications of UDL in the real-life classroom. Vers un enseignement accessible et inclusif : la pédagogie postsecondaire et la conception universelle de l’apprentissage Le 4 mars 2014 de 8 h 00 à 16 h 00 Collège Dawson 5B.16, 3040 rue Sherbrooke Ouest, Montréal, QC Conférencier - Brett Christie, Ph.D de California State University Panélistes - Roberta Thomson (professeure), Susie Wileman (répondante), Catherine Fichten (chercheuse) et Natalie Martiniello (étudiante) Le Centre de recherche pour l’inclusion scolaire et professionnelle des étudiants en situation de handicap (CRISPESH) vous invite à venir en apprendre d’avantage sur comment la conception universelle de l’apprentissage (CUA) peut fournir un cadre durable pour le corps et le personnel professoral afin d’améliorer l’éducation au postsecondaire pour tous les étudiants, y compris les personnes en situation de handicap. Le symposium mettra l’accent sur les applications pédagogiques de la CUA dans la classe de la vie réelle. Les participants apprendront : -Les applications des principes de la CUA afin d’améliorer l’enseignement et l’apprentissage -L’utilisation des technologies adaptatives et des pratiques pédagogiques accessibles -Plans de cour accessibles -Perspectives professorales, professionnelles et estudiantines sur la CUA
