Disability Services for Students at the University of Saskatchewan is pleased to announce the 2nd annual assistive technology and disability conference!
Accessible Technology 2015

This conference is open to everyone at no cost. Presentations will focus on a wide-range of assistive technologies and their applications for people with disabilities across all age groups. The audience will include disability professionals from all areas, including advisors, teachers, therapists, clinicians, parents, and users of AT.

Presentation Information:

Presentation themes can include AT products and best AT practices and strategies in education, rehabilitation, vocation, and independent living. We encourage proposals from a broad spectrum of perspectives, and we recommend providing reference materials such as handouts.

Each session will be 50 minutes.
Deadline for Presentation Submissions: June 15th, 2015.

Proposal Review: Members of the Selection Committee will review all complete proposals. Final selections will be made by the conference program organizers from those proposals accepted. Notification of acceptance will be sent no later than June 30th 2015.

Suggested Topics: Mental Health and assistive tech, ios apps, speech therapy, text to voice software, universal design, alternate format of reading material, technology targeted towards specific disabilities, occupational therapy in the classroom, bridging the transition of secondary to post-secondary, new technological advances.

Community Information Fair:

We invite community organizations to have a table at our info fair. This will allow for the sharing of community resources and programs with conference attendees. The deadline for reserving table space is Thursday, October 1st, 2015. The Info Fair will take place on Thursday, over the lunch hour in the conference space.
