CCD Awards

I would like to inform all members that the 1998/99 Council of Canadians with Disabilities (CCD) Awards were announced at the CCD meeting in Winnipeg on June 12th. Recognized for outstanding service to the Canadian disability community from our association were Jennison Asuncion and Corinne Gough. Corinne, who served on the NEADS board of directors for many years and was our rep. to CCD, was in Winnipeg to receive her award. Jennison was presented his award by our President Joby Fleming during the NEADS executive meeting in Ottawa the last weekend of June. Of course, members will know Jennison for his excellent work as a member of the NEADS executive, member of the National Approach to Services Advisory Group, co-moderator and founder of our listserv, Research Associate with the Adaptech project etc.

Congratulations Corinne and Jennison! And, many thanks for your hard work and dedication to the issues of post-secondary students with disabilities.
