Financial Aid DirectoryUniversity of Alberta - Edmonton, AlbertaAlberta Association of the Deaf - Michael Rodda Award/ScholarshipThis award is to be given to a student who is deaf, entering or continuing in a program of study at the University of Alberta. The award is to be given on the basis on academic excellence, financial need and a demonstrated commitment to involvement within the deaf community. Applicants must use sign language interpretation. In addition, the applicant must have a minimum of a 55db hearing loss. Preference is to be given to Canadian citizens or landed immigrants who are residents of the Province of Alberta.
Robert Tegler Special AwardsThis award is to be given to a disabled student entering or continuing in a program of study at the University of Alberta. The award is to be given on the basis of academic excellence and financial need. Individual consideration will be made for applications on the basis of the applicant's disability. Medical documentation must be provided.
Hilda Wilson Memorial ScholarshipThis annual award is given to a student at the university with a disability on the basis of academic excellence.
Dr. Henry R. Ziel AwardThis award is to be given to a student entering or continuing in a program of study at the University of Alberta. The award is to be given on the basis of academic excellence and financial need. To be eligible applicants must use a wheel-chair on a permanent basis.
Edmonton Rotary Club Foundation BursariesTwo bursaries awarded annually to students with satisfactory academic standing who reside in the area of Edmonton defined as West to 109 Street, East to Wayne Gretzky Drive, North to 118 Avenue and South to the North Saskatchewan River. Recipients will be selected on the basis of demonstrated financial need. Preference will be given to students with disabilities.
Peter Forster Bursary for Students with DisabilitiesOne bursary awarded annually to a full-time graduate or undergraduate student with satisfactory academic standing who has a permanent disability affecting mobility, vision, hearing, learning, or mental or physical health. Recipient will be selected on the basis of demonstrated financial need.
Robert and Shirley Stollery BursariesAwarded annually to undergraduate or graduate students with satisfactory academic standing. Recipients will be selected on the basis of demonstrated financial need. Preference will be given to single parents, low-income families, and students with disabilities.
