The Lisa Huus Memorial Fund

This bursary is presented annually to a student with a "severe disability" to begin or complete university study at the University of Victoria. In order to be eligible to apply, students must have two or more organ systems affected by their disability; for example, the nervous system or the muscular system. Under special circumstances students who have other kinds of disabilities may be considered. Applications must be submitted no later than May 31 each year to: Financial Aid Office, University of Victoria or the G.R. Pearkes Centre For Children, 3970 Haro Road, Victoria, British Columbia, V8N 4A9.
Value: $1500

The Bevan Bursary

Students who have disabilities related to blindness, deafness, arthritis, or any other physical disability, and are planning to begin or complete studies at the University of Victoria, are eligible for two bursaries. If no applications are received from disabled students, any student with demonstrated financial need can apply. The Senate Committee on Awards at the University of Victoria selects the recipients based upon recommendations from the Student Financial Aid Services Office.
Value: $600 (One or Two Awards)

The L.G. Butler Scholarship For The Disabled

One disabled student attending the University of Victoria is eligible for an award based on academic performance. The recipient may be entering or completing a program at the university. The Senate Committee on Awards is responsible for selecting students for the award, from applications that are submitted by April 15th each year.
Value: $1600

BC Paraplegic Association/Rotary Club Of Victoria Scholarship

A scholarship will be awarded to a physically disabled student with permanent mobility impairments. Selection of the recipient will be made by a committee composed of a Senate Committee on Awards representative, a Student and Ancillary Services representative and a BC Paraplegic Association representative.
Value: $1250.00
