Special Needs (OPUS) Student Achievement Award

This award was established in 2002 by the Organization of Part-Time Students to acknowledge special needs students in achieving their educational goals while demonstrating significant contributions to the campus community. Award: One annual award of $500 towards tuition remission to a current part-time special needs undergraduate student, as defined by the University of Windsor. The successful applicant must have completed a minimum of five(5) course credits at the University of Windsor at the time of nomination and have demonstrated leadership abilities within the University community by raising awareness and promoting accessibility. Nominations may be made by faculty, staff, and students.

Special Needs (OPUS) Campus Community Recognition Award

This annual award was established in 2002 by the Organization of Part-Time University Students to recognize a University of Windsor faculty or staff member, who has in the previous year, demonstrated guidance and leadership in advancing special needs and accessibility for students at the University of Windsor. This was done by either demonstrating innovative and responsive accommodations and/or providing support for special needs students. Nominations may be made by the entire University campus community.
