Prince Edward Island Employability Assistance for People with Disabilities (EAPD)
Post-secondary education is currently eligible under Prince Edward
Island’s EAPD program. The program guidelines indicate that students
are also expected to seek alternate types of support, such as Canada
Student Loans or Worker’s Compensation. EAPD is used to supplement
these other programs. For example, EAPD support is to be used for assistive
devices, human services such as a sign language interpreter, reader or
note taker. EAPD may also be used in situations where support is needed
to cover additional expenses with co-operative work/study programs.
There was no waiting list for EAPD support in Prince Edward Island at the
time of this research.
