New Brunswick Premierís Council on the Status of Disabled Persons

The Premierís Council on the Status of Disabled Persons was created in 1982, to advise the provincial government and general public on matters relating to people with disabilities. The Council consists of a chairperson and 12 other members appointed by the Lieutenant-Governor in Council.

The Councilís Web site provides extensive information and contacts for resources available to people with disabilities, available from government and non-profit organizations both locally and nationally. Visit the site for funding source information for education and medical needs, career counselling services, and for descriptions of research and advocacy projects the council has undertaken.
