Manitoba League of Persons with Disabilities (MLPD)
The MLPD was established in 1974, and is dedicated to promoting equal
rights and full participation in society for people with disabilities. Its
activities include public education, advocacy, and social policy research
and consultation. The organization works to ensure people with disabilities
have adequate access to education, transportation, employment and
other benefits of society to which all people are entitled.
The MLPD’s Web site features information on its various projects, how
to become a member, and information on local branches throughout the
province.
