High School TransitionNon-Governmental OrganizationsCanadian Paraplegic AssociationThe Canadian Paraplegic Association was founded in 1945, and today has a membership of more than 30,000 Canadians with spinal cord injuries and other mobility impairments. The Association aims to provide peer counseling and support, rehabilitation counseling, and employment services and advice. It also undertakes advocacy in communities through local offices, and provides information services for clients, employers and community members. The CPA Web site has contact information for all local offices across Canada. It also offers a message board, a chat feature, and a classified area for mobility aids. Canadian Paraplegic Association
