High School TransitionDisabled Students’ Leadership On-CampusMUNDISCComposed of 40 volunteers and students with disabilities, MUNDISC’s mandate is to advocate and provide support for students at Memorial University. The group works closely with the student union, but retains independent status. On-campus accessibility is a priority, and the group works hard to get the word out to other students about important issues such as the transition from school to the employment market. Despite the obvious financial constraints imposed upon such student groups, the organization works hard to keep the centre alive through the strength of its student membership. The group meets an average of twice a month and, like the Carleton Disability Awareness Centre, has permanent office space and paid staff. MUNDISC
