Description	Self-Advocacy as a Disabled Student During COVID-19 - Simon Fraser University (SFU) The Simon Fraser University (SFU) Disability and Neurodiversity Alliance has a "Self-Advocacy as a Disabled Student During COVID-19" event coming up on September 22nd! "How do we advocate for ourselves as disabled students during the COVID-19 pandemic? Let�s discuss and share tips and strategies! Topics include: - Accessing academic accommodations through the Centre for Accessible Learning (CAL) - The impact of COVID on accommodations - How to communicate with professors & TAs - Tips and strategies to self-advocate when facing urgent barriers Notes will be taken during the discussion, which will be turned into a public resource. If you share any personal stories, you will remain anonymous in the notes and anything you want to keep private or confidential will not be in the notes.
