Employment Connections: A Transition Tool Kit for Youth with Disabilities

Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work (CCRW)

The CCRW is a Canada-wide network of organizations and individuals, dedicated to the promotion of meaningful and equitable employment of people with disabilities. The organization was started in 1964, and adopted the name Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work in 1981.

It offers a variety of programs and services for people with disabilities, including a resumé database that is searchable by employers, a job accommodation service that provides information and support with regard to employment accommodations, as well as skills training, and consultation services.

One of the CCRW’s largest employment-related projects is their WorkInk Web site. The site provides articles on employment issues and labour market information, private chat rooms to discuss issues with employment counsellors, job postings, and success stories from people with disabilities who’ve found meaningful employment or started their own businesses. Visit WorkInk at www.workink.com. For more information on the CCRW, contact:
