Introducing Selali Tettevi, Saskatchewan Director of NEADS

(Ottawa, September 8th, 2022)

The National Educational Association of Disabled Students (NEADS) is proud to introduce a new appointment to our Board of Directors, Selali Tettevi, NEADS Saskatchewan Director.

Selali Tettevi is completing her Master’s Degree at Thompson Rivers University and comes from Saskatchewan. Her current research focuses on the use of innovative social entrepreneurship training programs as a successful vocational rehabilitation option for persons with disabilities. She is keenly interested in social entrepreneurship, innovation, and organizational behavior.

Selali is actively involved in helping to improve the quality of life of persons with disabilities as she serves on the Board and Accessibility Committee of the Spinal Cord Injury Association of Saskatchewan and the Service Committee of the CNIB DeafBlind Community Services. She loves to give back to society and has volunteered with several non-profit organizations, including Nevy Language and Immigration Services, the African Association of Saskatchewan.

“We are so excited to have Selali join the NEADS team! She has such impressive and rich experiences in disability advocacy in university and with community organizations. I love that Selali brings the voice of a graduate student with a disability to our social justice work," says Margaret Lyons-MacFarlane, NEADS Chair and New Brunswick Director and Co-Chair of the Graduate Studies Committee.

NEADS will benefit immensely from Selali’s experiences and her continued advocacy in disability issues in her role as the new Saskatchewan Director. We have no doubt that she will excel in her new position and welcome her to our team.
