Quick Facts:

The CRA’s Twitter accounts were launched in the spring of 2011 and have over 37,000 followers.

The CRA has tweeted over 4,400 tweets since 2011, helping Canadians manage their tax affairs.

First-time filers can now submit their first tax return electronically to the CRA. In the past, first-time filers needed to submit their first tax return by paper. This year, choosing online filing couldn’t be easier or simpler.

In 2012, over 1.6 million filers took advantage of the tuition, education, and textbook amounts.
