The Langara Students' Union has recently constructed a new building, which means that it has recently opened a center for its disabled students. The center is meant to be not only a place for quiet study but also a place to gain insight on disabilities in general as well as a place to meet new people, share stories, and learn from each other.
There is also an active disabilities committee that is responsible for planning events and workshops that provide information to students with disabilities on campus, as well as awareness to all other students about different types of disabilities.
