About the Project

This project is led by BHER, a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization that brings together Canada’s largest companies and leading post-secondary institutions to find solutions to Canada’s biggest workforce challenges. Funded by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), we are working in partnership with the National Educational Association of Disabled Students (NEADS) and eCampusOntario to better understand how youth with disabilities use and access tools and resources that help them describe and assess their work-related skills. We will use these insights to create more inclusive and accessible tools that better support youth with disabilities seeking employment.

These interviews are part of a project aimed at making it easier for young people with disabilities to succeed in finding and keeping jobs. We will look at what tools are currently available, what challenges exist, and how they can be improved. With input from youth, career advisors, and employers, this research will help with the development of inclusive and accessible resources that help youth better show their skills and help employers support more inclusive hiring.
