Invitation to Participate Inform a new Standard for Psychological Health and Safety for Post-Secondary Students in Montreal on December 12th
Invitation
The Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC), in collaboration with our key partners and funders, invites you to a community engagement event focused on an initiative that we are undertaking to develop a new Standard that will aid post-secondary institutions in the promotion of mental health and wellness for their students.
A cross section of people and organizations are being invited to participate; we hope you will join us for a meaningful dialogue.
In January 2018, MHCC embarked on a two-year initiative to champion the development of a new voluntary Standard for Psychological Health and Safety for Post-Secondary Students.
Such a Standard will build on existing mental health strategies, national frameworks and promising practices to create a consistent evidence-informed approach to student mental health that any post-secondary institution across the country can implement. The Standard will support #studentsuccess by promoting and strengthening student psychological health and safety.
On December 12, 2018, we invite you to a breakfast session to learn about this initiative and engage in a dialogue to help shape the project further. Refreshments and light snacks will be included.
Please note that this is a bilingual event with simultaneous interpretation.
This is an opportunity for you to share your expertise. One of the key objectives of the Standard is to ensure that a variety of perspectives from a cross section of people and organizations are incorporated, and that the Standard reflects the diversity in Canada. Your involvement is essential to the Standard’s success!
Given the limited space, this invitation will be on a first come first serve basis. All additional applicants will be placed on a waiting list.
