Message from the National Educational Association of Disabled Students (NEADS) regarding our operations and communications during COVID-19

On behalf of our Board of Directors, staff and consultants, we would like to advise you that, during this period of COVID-19 uncertainty, we continue to work to serve the post-secondary students and graduates with disabilities community. While members of our team may be operating more remotely than usual, you will be able to reach us through our national office and social media platforms. At this time, we will be focusing our communications, to report updates on closures and alternative academic arrangements at Canadian colleges and universities. This includes sharing communications from on campus disabled students' organizations, students' unions, other student led organizations and the broader disability movement. With this in mind, it is important that post-secondary institutions continue to provide the support and accommodations needed in this time of rapid change as this situation continues to develop.

Please stay safe and follow the advisories and advice of public health professionals where you live and are studying. Here is a link to the Health Canada Coronavirus page for up to date information that can help you during this difficult time:

Let us know if there is any way NEADS may be able to support you, your fellow students, staff or communities.Take care.

With best wishes,

Maggie and Frank
