Students With Disabilities Hardship Grant through Canadian Federation of Students - Manitoba
During the 2020 Annual General Meeting our membership passed a motion to support students with disabilities in the form of upfront grants to cover the costs associated with remote learning. This could include, but isn't limited to: devices, cables, adaptive software, internet bills, or any other costs related to accessing education online as a result of COVID-19.
While some steps have been taken to support students with disabilities by our provincial and federal leadership, we acknowledge there are many barriers still in place. While we cannot fully address all financial obstacles for students with disabilities, through these grants we are able to provide some funding to support your studies during this period of self-isolation.
The Students with Disabilities Hardship Grants are open to domestic AND international students with disabilities who study at one of the Canadian Federation of Students - Manitoba member locals. That includes:
The University of Winnipeg
Brandon University
Université de Saint-Boniface
The University of Manitoba
