Survey of Post-Secondary Students’ Experiences with Accommodations and Learning Supports

You are invited to participate in a confidential online survey that should take around 10 minutes to complete. Survey Monkey is the software platform we are using.

We are interested in your experiences with your universities or college’s accommodations and supports. Many students need accommodations and supports but do not know about them or do not know that they would benefit from receiving them. Accommodations and supports can be permanent, temporary, or episodic (occasional). We want to identify any barriers students have experienced in receiving these supports.

The results of this survey will be used to help improve the way that students experience these services. Your student association will receive the final research report and will be able to share it.

The survey is part of a research project, Transforming Accessibility and Accommodations in Post-Secondary. This study is documenting the way that universities and colleges provide accommodation and supports to students. The goal is to create a new model for delivering these supports. This will help universities and college’s provide a more accessible and inclusive experience for all students.

The Principal Researcher is Dr. Fiona Whittington-Walsh from Kwantlen Polytechnic University. REB Number: H21-03176.

This online survey has been sent out to all post-secondary students in British Columbia.
