Accessibility Advisors Institute Seeking Participants for Consultation

The Canadian Association of Colleges & Universities and Student Services (CACUSS) has commissioned the development of an institute to train Accessibility Services professionals. This institute will be offered starting in fall 2025 and will include 5 half-day online workshops.
 
As we develop the curriculum, we are inviting students with disabilities to provide feedback on the topics and materials to be included. This will take place on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from 7-9pm EST online. An honorarium will be provided to those selected to participate.
 
The preliminary modules are as follows:
Module 1: Introduction to Accessibility Services in Higher Education  
Module 2: Policy, Legal and Human Rights Frameworks  
Module 3: Universal Design for Learning and inclusive teaching practices  
Module 4: Assistive Technology  
Module 5: Determining Accommodations
