Focus group for students who identify with mental health conditions at University of Toronto/Ontario Institute for Studies In Education, Friday, November 6, 2015

The National Educational Association of Disabled Students (NEADS) has partnered with The Regional Assessment and Resource Centre (RARC) at Queen’s University along with the Northern Ontario Assessment and Resource Centre (NOARC) at Cambrian College to develop a specialized transition and mentorship program for students with mental health issues who are transitioning to post-secondary education: The Successful Transition Online and Mentoring Program (STOMP). We will be conducting a focus group at University of Toronto/Ontario Institute for Studies In Education (OISE) in Toronto, Ontario 252 Bloor Street West on Friday, November 6th from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. to learn more about the student transition process.

We are currently seeking participants for this focus group. If you are interested in learning more, or in taking part, please contact Chelsea Mohler, NEADS' Researcher by email: Chelsea.mohler@neads.ca Chelsea will register interested participants and provide the room location at OISE. Current college and university students who identify with mental health conditions are welcome to attend the focus group. Light refreshments will be served.

This project is supported by the Mental Health Innovation Fund, Government of Ontario. The Regional Assessment and Resource Centre (RARC) at Queen’s University along with the Northern Ontario Assessment and Resource Centre (NOARC) at Cambrian College are project leads.
