  • The National Education Association of Disabled Students (NEADS) has developed an outreach project for high school students with disabilities who are making the transition to post-secondary institutions. The project and its accompanying guide book, Moving On, can assist students with disabilities in making informed choices regarding their academic options and provide them with information about the financial aid and accommodations available to them at various institutions. To view the guide visit http://www.neads.ca/en/norc/movingon/
  • Alberta Learning Information Services produced a transition planning guide designed for Grades 9 12 students with disabilities and their parents and or caregivers. The guide provides comprehensive information and ideas to help navigate the journey from high school to post-secondary education. It has an accompanying DVD which showcases 9 students with different disabilities talking about their hopes and dreams for the future; includes 4 students - one each from Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, and Nova Scotia, plus 5 post-secondary students from Alberta who have successfully made the transition from high school to post-secondary education. http://alis.alberta.ca/ep/careershop/showproduct.html?DisplayCode=PRODUCT&EntityKey=7953
