Tetra Society of North America – Newfoundland Chapter

The Tetra Society is a non-profit organization that pairs individuals with disabilities with volunteering engineers, technicians and health professionals, in order to create or modify assistive devices or the environment for people with disabilities.

A person with a disability can approach Tetra about an accessibility issue they need addressed, and then work together with Tetra’s volunteer professionals to create a viable solution. Some of the projects Tetra has completed include an outdoor-use walker with brakes for a client with Cerebral Palsy, and a cutting guide for a visually impaired woman who enjoy baking.
